The Highland Commerce Guild
helps coordinate business activities along the Bardstown Road - Baxter Avenue corridor
and supports activities such as the First Saturday trolley rides and
Bardstown Road Aglow on the first Saturday of December
to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood shops, businesses and restaurants.

Our Blockwatch Group has been in existence for over 20 years; we are very active and have a large membership. We meet the second Sunday of the month at different neighbors' homes. HEDG is an acronym for HIGHLAND AVE, EVERETT AVE, DEARING COURT, & GRINSTEAD DR. We focus on community issues ranging from crime and safety prevention to social events. We participate in the annual Brightside Contest and we have been winners three times.
